Massimo Recalcati

He completed his university studies under the guidance of Professor Franco Fergnani and obtained his degree in philosophy in 1985 at the University of Milan, defending a thesis entitled Désir d'être e Todestrieb. Ipotesi per un confronto tra Sartre e Freud. In the summer of that same year, reading the Écrits of Jacques Lacan steered his formation toward psychoanalysis. In 1989 he specialized in social psychology at the School of Psychology of Milan directed by Marcello Cesa-Bianchi. He carried out his analytic training between Milan and Paris, from 1988 to 2007. He is enrolled in the register of the Order of Psychologists of Lombardy.
