Lidia Palumbo

Lidia Palumbo is a full professor of History of Ancient Philosophy at the University of Naples "Federico II". She is a highly regarded scholar, both nationally and internationally, for her studies on ancient philosophy, with particular attention to the Pre-Socratics, to Plato and to the Platonic tradition. Over the course of her career she has taught History of Ancient Philosophy and has published numerous academic works dedicated above all to Plato and Aristotle. Her research also focuses on the theatrical and protreptic aspects of the Platonic dialogues, analyzing their literary and philosophical dimensions. She has worked as a visiting professor at universities in Chile and Brazil, thus broadening scientific exchange at an international level. She also actively takes part in national and international philosophical societies and collaborates with other scholars on editorial projects and specialist studies dedicated to ancient thought.
