Ermanno Bencivenga

After graduating in philosophy at the Statale of Milan, Bencivenga soon left Italy, moving first to Canada for his doctoral studies and then to the United States, where he began his academic career, teaching from 1979 at the University of California, Irvine. Over time his research interests have concerned formal logic (in the 1970s), the history of philosophy (in the 1980s), ethics and political philosophy.
