Adriana Pannitteri, a journalist, works at the Rai1 TG1 newscast, for which she has covered the most sensitive news stories as a field reporter. She worked for Rai1 on the programme Italia sera. Since 2001 she has anchored the morning newscasts, and in 2010 she hosted the programme Uno Mattina Estate. From 2009 to 2012 she also edited and hosted the TG1 feature L’Intervista, encounters with figures from culture and entertainment, broadcast on Mondays and Fridays at 9 in the morning. She attended the courses of the Rai school in Perugia for radio and television reporters. She holds a degree in political science with a political-international specialisation. She has published several books of non-fiction and investigative journalism, among them: Vite sospese, eutanasia un diritto? Aliberti editore 2007; La vita senza limiti, with Beppino Englaro, Rizzoli 2009; La pazzia dimenticata, viaggio negli opg, edizioni l’Asino d’oro 2013. With the photojournalist Giampiero Corelli she published Il vento negli occhi (stories of women soldiers) and Tempi diversi (portraits from the cloister). Her first novel, Cronaca di un delitto annunciato, L’asino d’oro, 2017, has been presented at numerous festivals, television programmes and schools. With Oakmond Publishing she has republished Madri assassine, diario da Castiglione delle Stiviere, an investigative book that ventures into some of the darkest corners of a woman’s psyche.
